Got an update from someone who will remain nameless.

Sounds like a transmission failure

 

That really sucks....he was doing so well.

 

He didn't come to get second place.

The GTR has changed OLOA forever. It will be virtually impossible for a Subaru to win the event now. You would have to build something above and beyond "Lucy". Huge Aero, Massive tires. I'm just not sure it will ever be done again. From this point on its going to be battle of the Super Cars.

I may try again next year in a Subaru but I don't see it being competitive with a 800whp GTR

 

Agreed. GTR's a flat out dominating. It was 5 GTR's in the top 6 spots overall IIRC.

 

Woah where did that Corvette come from this morning. They finished 2nd only 3 seconds behind.

 

I agree that a Subaru would have a tough time of winning the event now.

You are also 100% correct that Sharif & Catesby came to WIN! If they didn't then they wouldn't have spend tons of money building the car in the last month.

Just to claify, an 800whp GT-R is useless on street tires...none of the car in OneLap are 800wheel...most we ran the whole event would be 700ish.

The GT-Rs are doing well...its an easier car to drive fast then most, especially on unknown tracks. Given a couple of days at any given track you would see the times get much closer together.

We now have the boost turned all the way down to total granny mode and Leh has pulled most of the extra push out of his driving...no reason to risk hurting the car with the Forged Performance car failing.

hell yeah, go Sumner. Not to side track the amazing performance you guys have, but it's nice to see my college buddy and good friend make the list as the driver of the 4sevens M3

Chances are that corvette is at its home track or atleast one that hes been to quite a bit.

 

OneLap attitudes are always friendly. Both guys respect each other in reality.

Little trouble in the camp.....


The morning event just got over, however it didn't go as usual for the TSM crew.

Coming to the end of the first lap Doug noticed the oil pressure gauge bouncing around and even flickering on the display screen. Doug being the technician that he is, instantly played through all of the scenariors in his head. The issue reaked of some type of sensor multifunction however it was not worth the risk. With not even one lap completed Doug pulled out of the power and finished the three laps remaining below 4000 RPM in order to ensure the engine was as safe as it could be. With our current lead giving up spots is much less risky then giving up the motor. After pulling in the pits after the session the oil pressure showed perfect even during a small full throttle pull on an access road. Some type of connection issue or sensor error is suspected.

While we feel confident that the issue is a trivial one Doug is currently in the paddock pulling the car apart enough to determine the problem.

I will update you guys as soon as I hear any word.

 

Crosses fingers.....I know the mad scientist is capable of getting it fixed.

Their car can't run OLOA.....it's not a street car.

 

This car is the one they drove last year. Since then it's been hacked and redone vastly. That car would kill your innards if it was used for OLOA.....much like Forged's shop GTR. It doesn't even have lights anymore.

OMG that was So funny! I watched it twice.

I'm not sure what happened to the Vette. I will try to find out.
