Yeah, I changed my password this morning.

Just goes to show that no system is safe given enough time and determination.

glad i stopped playing that terrible game over 2 months ago. I continually got fraud alerts and account suspensions from blizzard, even after not playing for over a month. It amazes me that a business tied in with so much financial data gets hacked on a weekly basis.

    ..

I've been part of battle.net for years and can't recall the last time they got hacked.. They have been the target of millions of spam/phishing scams. Blizzard doesn't send a lot of emails. Even for the betas they recommend you log in to check, not to use emails as alerts.

Same for me. Never heard anything about themselves getting hacked like Sony. :keke
It was probably brought on more with the RMAH than anything else. Just a way for Blizzard to have fucked themselves in the ass by partnering with Activision.

i can show you multiple emails i got...i think i even sent some out to people on this board laughing at how ludicrous a job blizzard is doing at managing this

Are you talking about the plenty of spoofed spam emails from "blizzard.com" pertaining to WoW and any and all "Beta" requests?

what?!?!??! You mean there are fake blizzard emails?

No fucking wonder my viagra hasn't arrived, and here i was wondering how all these companies knew I have such a small dick...

don't forget my little socks...oh wait.

I'm too lazy to upload pictures, so here's a screen shot. Pretty sure I know what this little picture box i stare at for 10 hours is for (porn)

If the game had more of an appeal, I probably wouldn't care as much...i guess i'm getting out of the gamer phase, though, i'd rather try and play this goddamn impossible guitar

edit - in the original 'Fuck Diablo III' document, i tried expanding the email so you could see where they continually emailed me the same fucking thing over and over. Only let me crop up to 8.5x11

edit 2 - i can't believe i just took the few minutes to justify this...

I think they were referring to Blizzard as a whole, not an account here and there.

came from original starcraft (fuck subscription based games) to D III. Can't speak for the WoW side of things, but I would rate my overall experience with Blizzard as a whole at zero stars.

edit - fyi, those account notifications and stuff came after almost a month of inactivity.

Yeah. Blizzard and Valve both blow chunks when it comes to their support side of their business. Absolutely the worst when it comes to how long it takes to get a response whenever you need help with something.

I've never had an account compromised Drew, so I apologize if I seem to be overdefending.

I'm a wow addict at heart, I have seen many people lose accounts, but all based on viruses they got :-/ It's possible, I do trust your opinion more than 99.99999% of people so I'll actually be marking this as a strike against bliz.

The support probably depends on who you get like most companies, I've only seen them quickly returned hacked accounts and entire guilds/guild banks on WoW. They do have more than 15million+ battle.net accounts to keep account of so they may be slipping. Of course, most of that was before Activision so who knows. I may just be thinking of an era of bliz that I used to play in.

I do also want to say that I've seen very legit looking emails that didn't pan out about my "hacked account" until I looked at email headers (not what you'll see in those emails) and checked my account.

I switched my gaming philosophy from "utter domination" to playing once or twice a week for an hour total literally, so I hear ya.

Did you try calling them?? It's pretty fast...

As for all the emails from Blizz, I get those all the time. Like already stated, most if not all are just spam emails from a 3rd party.

Nah. It's the 21st Century. What is this "calling" you speak of?
