    same outside dimensions as the 2.5L, internally different. Besides rotating assembly everything will swap over. called a hybrid :hsugh:

    I am a little speechless that you would think they were the same block considering one is 2 liter and the other is a 2.5 liter motor. Here are some of the specs that would make them different.

    2005 Subaru Impreza WRX STi
    Physical Displacement: 2457cc
    Bore: 3.92
    Stroke: 3.11
    CR: 8.2:1


    2005 Subaru Impreza WRX
    Physical Displacement: 1994cc
    Bore: 3.62
    Stroke: 2.95
    CR: 8.0:1

    wow beat me up. i was asking because of something someone had said about my car and i didnt think it was true. Im great with brakes and suspn. not so much with motor internals. this is why i asked. i tried looking online but didnt really come up with anything so i came here to pick some brains on it. Im not trollin
