ok ive been wanting to upgrade brakes for a while and i figure the sti bremo's are a easy swap over to my 02 wrx wagon i have wheels that should clear them questions are as follows

What particular ones do i need to look for and does anyone have them for sale at a decent price?

What car(year/make/model) do i use to look up pads and rotors?

Are there any major parts/modifications i have to make to install them?

ill be looking to purchase them late this month/early next month pm me with price if u have any?

just go 4-pots off '06+ WRX's, they'll bolt right up to your knuckles otherwise '04 STi Bembo's. '05+ have different bolt pattern.

From what I've been reading, unless you track the car there is only minimal difference in brake fade between the two set up whereas the replacement pads and rotors are much cheaper to maintain on the 4-pots I think...

You will need to cut the dust shield. Just can't remember if it's the front or rear.

All of the calipers are for 04-07 brembos are the same. the front caliper will bolt up to an 02 wrx with 04 sti rotors, if the calipers are from an 05- up you will need the stablizer ties on front and the 4 longer bolts(the wrx ones are shorter), and sti pads... for the rear, u can do 2 things... get the 04 hubs and brake line assy, or get a special rotor that has wrx brake shoes built into an sti rotor, so u can use the stock ebrake. also rear mount adapters for rear from kartboy, or u can get the rear rotors and mounting bracket as a package from machv.

New or used? Are you asking about JDM 4/2 pots?

If you don't care about brake bias then no you don't have to get rears :wiggle:. It's a good idea to get the rears just to balance out the braking, but that's up to you. Your fronts are going to be dusting like a storm though :coolugh:

The calipers themselves usually go for $1000 to $1500 on ebay for a full set. also, the sti master cylinder is a good idea as it is more powerful (the brake boosters are the same, so don't worry about that) The bracket and adapter-rotor is the easiest way to go unless you plan on doing a full sti swap. (you start to run into half shaft splines not matching the hubs as they were different on sti and wrx and in different years)
