Alright guys i am getting annoyed right now, short story short drove my 04 wrx home one night (Tuesday) and coming up to a stop sign my car dies on me from 3k rpm straight down to zero lol it kept having the same problem whenever the car is in neutral that same night the car didn't have any CEL so i didn't think anything of it....but i haven't drove the car since last night and it kept having the problem then it threw a CEL

P0171 System too Lean (Bank 1)
P0102 Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit Low Input
P0113 Intake Air Temperature Circuit High Input

From what i know and from the help of steve (h23bb2) it deals with the MAP sensor so what i did was i went and bought Mass Air Flow Cleaner and cleaned the sensor out and put it back in and still the car idles fine at first start up but most of the time once i put any throttle into the car it cuts off or idles very low and picks itself up and down up and down....would replacing the sensor fix everything???? (WAY TO EXPENSIVE FOR A SENSOR)

Another solution is a vacuum leak but i bought carb cleaner and sprayed it throughout all the vacuum lines to see if the idle was spike up but it didn't so i am lost of idea any suggestion would help before i spend mad money on a sensor :wtc:

Alright guys so i met up with Chris today and since he had a spare MAF sensor, i decided to plug it in to see if that was the case, but it WASN'T and car still cuts off with any acceleration or throttle play......Ive checked leaks with CARB cleaner to see if any idle would spike up but nothing.......I am lost out of idea's now....

I had that issue once...turned out to be my alternator.

Seriously?!?! How did you ever figure that out? Unstable voltage?

I'm supposed to meet up with the OP sunday to inspect/log the car....

With the idling low/stalling still happening after cleaning the maf...checking for boost leaks and clean the throttle body as well as the iac valve...we tested the alt. voltage and it read in the low 11's iirc...so I replaced the alternator...problem solved for me.

    You're Awesome too...

Found out the problem and it only took Steve (h23bb2) 30sec to find!! Lol i was missing a plug that i had put in the turbo inlet to close out the recirculating to the bov!! Thats why i had a major leak 0_o.......... Thanks to Steve for cutting his spare time to drive and hr to meet me up to see what was wrong with the car!!! Also thanks to Chris (ChrisW) for sparing some time as well!!

Doh! That was quite serious and the fact the car had to be running lean.

Yeah as soon as the problem happened it stayed parked in the garage till it was fixed.....anyone recommend a plug that will cover that issue? Something more stable?

If you want an honest recommendation....reroute that into the bypass valve. If it can't do it....then get one that recircs.
