Ok, so i've got this Outback now. the roof rack, and some of the skirt pieces are kinda beat up. I was thinking of coating them with a liner type material. What DIY product isn't garbage in that regard? or should i just have a pro do some coating? if so, what should i look for in product and expect in cost?
If you really want it to last let alone work have it bedlined. For the time, money and effort to DIY the expense is about the same with a far superior and lasting finish.
Not very...it's designed to peel off. I prefer Line-X...it seems to be a finer, less blotchy option of the sprayed on liners. I had it on both of my truck beds. They usually offer a lifetime warranty as well.
we have the 2-part like Line-X at the shop and have sprayed most of our work carts with it. Some are over 5yo and while showing signs of wear, still have a solid coating. Sorry but you WILL NOT get the same protection with a single stage roll-on from Amazon. Most of your 4X4 shops like Leer and 4WheelParts offer bedliner services. There is one that can nearly paint match so you may want to look into that as well.
Went and met them, just off 41 southloop. nice guy, answered questions. I have some prep work to do to save money, will followup with a review. thx for helps~
