Alright guys i need to replace my Transmission fluid and Rear Diff Fluid What do you guys prefer? I do occasionally have a bit of grind in 1st gear but thats it...

I've read about this cocktail one which contains,
    (1x) 1 Liter Motul Gear 300 (75W-90)
(3x) 1 Quart Redline Lightweight Shockproof Gear Oil (75W-140)

Add 1 Quart Shockproof, 1 Liter Gear 300, and top off with Shockproof. You should have a little Shockproof left from the last bottle - add less than half, check the fluid level, and top off as necessary.

    WRX rear differential, use:
    (1x) 1 Liter Motul Gear 300 (75W-90)

    OR

    Uncle Scotty Cocktail

2qt 80w90 Castrol HypoyC(NOW labeled Axle Limited Slip 80W-90 by Castrol in North America) NO stupid PM's on this either

1qt Redline HEAVYWEIGHT SHOCKPROOF....NOT the LIGHTWEIGHT!!!

1qt Penzoil 'SYNCHROMESH' transmission fluid....the GM synchromesh fluid PN 12345349 is available at any GM dealer and can be used if the Penzoil product is not available....the Penzoil one IS better.

What do you guys prefer? Or just use Subaru Dealership stuff?

Or Subaru Extra S from the dealership is good stuff. Just take a jug of some sort and ask them to fill it up for you. Its anywhere from $5-$7 a qt depending what dealership you go to

Extra S is the only fluid I would put in a WRX or STi

Yes to a point, if you have a 04-06 STI you need to use Subaru LSD oil, because the rear LSD diff. is a clutch pack versus the torsen

I use Royal Purple for oil, transmission, and diff fluid. Never have had an issue. I swapped my trans and diff fluid around 34k, now I'm around 67k and fluid is fine, gears & diff are fine.
