The world needs mystery... but this is just beyond odd...the amount of rumors and conspiracy theories behind this are crazy. Anyone else watching this closely?
Nope. They have since expanded the search west to the Indian Ocean. There are reports that show the engines pinged satellites for hours after it was last spotted/reported. There's a theory that it diverted way off course and headed Northwest. They've expanded from the original area that it was last seen/heard from to the South China Sea as well.
I've been following it. They were saying the image over the ocean was it but then not it. This shit is too damn weird and I can't even imagine how the family members are taking it. I'm flying to India tomorrow for ten days but won't be nervous.

There's another theory out there that the plane was overtaken, everyone on the flight was killed, and the plane landed safely in some random airstrip. The area is full of old WW2 bases and airports that were built with the B-52 bomber in mind to take off and land. They could have landed in one of those old strips...there's no telling. However, due to the weight of the plane, it would HAVE to land on concrete, not asphalt. Asphalt would crumble under the weight of the plane and it would immediately sink into it upon stopping.
so much technology fail or the simple fact we aren't getting the whole story. I know Boeing is nervous as hell, they'll end up paying airlines to take their planes
DAMN.... http://newyork.craigslist.org/mnh/for/4370884298.html hattip to Eddie for posting this on facespace
This bit of info adds to the kidnapping theory http://www.sportingnews.com/nascar/...irlines-flight-mh370-sprint-cup-missing-plane
no I said that because I just watched some retired FBI agent say that it could have been commandeered for later use
Which is actually a possibility, albeit an outside one since they would need a huge runway and a ton of fuel.
If they have the ability to hijack a place and make it disappear, they have the ability to find a runway and fuel.
I forgot where i read, (i think CNN) but reports say that both transponders were "turned off"(?) So it would seem like it was not a catastrophic failure. Seems to have some kind of criminal cause. The idea of commandeering it actually makes a lot of sense. The same report also said reuters "unidentified source" claims the plane was following waypoints to a chain of islands somewhere in that area.
yes...they were both manually turned off from what they can tell...but the weird thing is, they were turned off 7 minutes apart from one another.
Wonder if this is 'legit' or something full of crap. http://au.news.yahoo.com/world/a/21950432/malaysia-under-fire-over-chaotic-search-for-missing-jet/
It's a little weird that only one person saw it, but the fact that his employer backs him and says it is not a hoax gives it some validity.
yep, last I read is the devices were turned off 14 minutes apart and someone was using landmarks to navigate it. My friend has a theory that someone important was on board and some organization made them disappear. One of the stolen passports was used for a 19 year old Iraqi kid on his way to Austria to see his mom who knew he was using a stolen passport., the media says /refugees using stolen passports, and that there are at least 400 million instances last year. I think someone took it for later use as well.
Days later...little new information has been found. Weird. They're investigating the pilots more and more and are finding out some peculiar details about them both...
I guess they have nothing to go on but the crew and passengers. Seems there was an aerospace engineer on board as well... Not sure how that helps the investigation..:squint:
Any truth to the possibility that the DoD had 20+ people on board and were behind an electronic cloak to make the plane invisible to any detection. If so, the plane can be anywhere
i think alot of people just dont want to accept how information starved we still are about this situation, like how there MUST be some magic computer/radar/fixitinow data to tell us what happened.
I think that jet could land just about anywhere given enough space. You should know the shit the C5 went through prior to RERP which just makes it even more bad ass for such an old jet. Most likely went south as there is too much ground radar that would have picked up on it to go North. I suspect a pilot suicide distrought from a recent court ruling.
Suicide and killing many others because a distant relative was sentenced to 5 yrs jail makes absolutely no sense to me but neither does suicide itself. Who's knows hopefully they find something soon.
There was a cnn video that stated the pilot's wife moved out of the house the day before the flight...with their kids. that's more than the sentencing of whatever political leader that was sentenced.
It certainly wasn't suicide...no man who owns an R34 could hate his life that much. Looks like I should have been a pilot...
