I was wondering if this is a common problem. I did a search and didn't find anything about it.

So I was running stage 2 on my 04 wrx. When i took it to get my emissions done their computers could not detect my car. Every time they plug in it just keeps trying to sync up with my car but is never able. Ive tried 3 times to get them done now with the ap installed.

I unmarried my AP, but before the ecu could reset to get emissions i got a CEL. (not positive but i think its a glitch. The code I get with no AP is for a #4 misfire, but the car runs fine.) So now I'm at a loss. Is this common for the Cobb Ap? I am 99% certain that my AP was installed last time i had my emissions done. Any one got an idea where to go from here?

I went and got my emissions 5 years in a row with my AP Installed. My guess is you might have damaged your OBD2 port or the place you are going to has a plug that wont mesh well with your plug. Have you taken it to the same place or different places?

if you were able to unmarry the AP then the problem was with the emissions location.

I have taKen it to 2 plaCes thaT couldn't reaD it. Once ii unmaarried it they could read it but I haDx to wait for the ecu to reset before he could run the test. But then got a cel

I will try a different spot tomorrow and see what happens. Happy to see that it is most likely the shop and not the AP. ThaNks for the input I'll keep posztedx.

Sorry for the crraZy text, iPhone haSz a busted, temperamental, screen lol

I got a 2002 bugeye, in order the get codes out through OBD port you need to connect 2 connectors under the dash, look under dash on drivers side, they are green in color. In case you still won't pass and you NEED to pass, PM me.

He doesnt need to plug those in to get an emissions test.

Ok. I thought they could not get a reading and I know I can not get anything out from mine without doing so, just says no link.
