I wanted to share with you all this awesome build we had the privilege of building for a great customer & friend in Florida. A little back ground before we get in to the guts of the build: this customer originally contacted me about a year ago about doing some bolt ons and a small turbo upgrade and, at the time, the goal was to leave it stock motor and just leave it conservative… that plan lasted long :D. As we went through a few revisions and over a couple different options for his goals we wound up on a final setup that consisted of one of our SS1 Short Blocks’, a Blouch DOM 1.5 turbo upgrade, upgraded brakes from Stoptech, and a set of KW V3s to round off the suspension (of course with all the supporting upgrades as well). What really sets this build apart, in my opinion, (aside from the awesome owner) was the overall goal to address each aspect of the car so he didn't wind up with a car that had a bunch of power but couldn't stop, or couldn't turn and to have a finished product that would outperform the cars’ stock counterpart in every aspect. Oh and he wound up with a new interior somehow too…

The highlights of the mod list are below and, as always, if you have any specific questions feel free to ask away.

Thank you for taking the time to read and many thanks go to the owner for allowing us to build him this fantastic example of a modified Subaru!

    Just curious-
What downpipe did you go with? You recommend bellmouth or divorced?

This particular setup has the Invidia Divorced Catted down pipe. There is zero difference between divorced and bellmouth - just depends on which brand you choose.

    Yeah yeah I know...
Thing is I don't like the overlays and would rather have it painted a light smoke. Unfortunately I don't trust any shops in my immediate area to touch my car. I'm open to suggestions :)

A big shout out to Mike and Steven @ Topspeed. They really listened and help me transform my WRX into exactly what I was looking for. Their attention to detail and keeping up communication during the 4 month process ( I live in Fla) is what really stood out to me. The motor has been 100% solid since the day I got it back and has performed flawlessly on the street as well as down at Sebring. Looking to some fall dates up at Road Atlanta with the guys too!

    and because clear tails..haha:naughty:

Yes, it still has the 5 speed. Like the owner posted, it has an ACT HD pressure plate with the 6 puck sprung disc.
