Bummer, was really looking forward to this. Could we meet somewhere else, setup a camping area or something? I haven't been so I don't know how everything works up there as far as reserving space.
86 Atlanta has a spot reserved and they are welcoming wrxatlanta to join them. If I get a list of who is planning on going I will pass it along
I'll be there but I work the event and have fine so every year since '97 as part of the rescue team. I'm usually on Rescue 9 which is tucked into the cut at turn 9. Usually a maroon Dodge crew cab. I might try to get out and introduce myself since I'm new here.
I'm such an idiot... I gave my Dad and Step Mom dates in October when they can come to Atlanta to visit and they freaking choose this weekend... Didn't even realize it until a few days after they booked the trip.... I haven't missed Petit since 2009 so... ya.
On a brighter note, both our kids were at least a week late, but no there was waiting when they were ready. For the second, we were fully prepped for home delivery. A fast trip to the hospital at 3m between contractions solved that issue.
Matt, what's the status on the RV spot? I have a friend selling his spot if we are interested. Its front row overlooking turn 6 on the skidpad.
Hey guys. I have never been to Petit, but it sounds great. Only issue is I have to work Monday-Friday. I was thinking about going Saturday. I was wondering if it is work going and paying for just the one day? Are the like most and hold the best events on the last day? Are any of you guys already planning on meeting up?
The rest of the days are just testing and the other various series of races. The Sat race is all day and ends well after dark which is just one of the reasons it's such an impressive event.

there is a solid chance I will end up there Saturday, but definitely not going up before then. too much party the past few weeks....
Just assisted in getting the only WRX in the Continental Series off the wall after Pierre got pinched out of turn 7 & bounced it off driver's left wall. Car came to rest just prior to turn 9. Nice looking race car but wasn't when I got to it and helped load it on the tilt bed. I'm actually on Rescue 5 in IMSA white Chevy pickup.
Very good racing this weekend. We were quite busy on the safety crew with the 14 or so incidents during the race that brought out the caution. Congrats to the local boys winning in GTLM.
