03 GTI help

    a friend of mine just got an 03 GTI 1.8T, he wanted to know the rundown on beginning mods so i was wondering if any of you guys knew what some good first steps were for those cars?

    chips on those are the best thing you can do. for some reason or another they gain well on a good chip. Intake, and TBE would be a good step as well.

    That's all I hear about people modding these cars. Chips first and then other stuff.

    Where is Trey? his car previous to his STI was a GTI 337... I'll send him an IM... He's got lots of good stuff for the GTI saved, I'm sure.

    APR Chip will make the GTi open up alot. intake, down pipe, and cat back would be ideal. With good drive should give low 14's high 13's

    get rid of the shitty plastic Bosh diverter valve. get a nice one from forged! then aps chip. aps has lots of products for the 1.8t.

    Go with either the GIAC or the APR. Both are reputable companies. APR's exhaust have come a long way as well.
