So a friend of mine backed into my car in my driveway while turning around. The result is a 3 inch crack in the rear bumer just behind the passenger wheel well. I was able to snap the piece back in for the most part, but theres a fat crack in the plastic staring at me. The actual steel bumper underneath does not seem to be damaged. I am definitely going to replace it but since it was my friend, I'm trying to do so as cheeply as possible. Can anyone point me in the direction of a good place/site (I'm in Atlanta) to buy the shell?...also I'd like to install it myself if I can do so with it still looking right. What would this entail?

i'd go to SoG for the shell, the prices online look better until you add on the shipping charge

Does anyone know if an STI rear bumper is the same as my wrx's...both are '06. I heard that sti's my '04-'05 have flairs and that its possible to purchase matching flares for the wheel well for a wrx, but I have not heard anything about the '06s.

I'm pretty sure the rear bumpers are the same on the WRX and STI, MY 06.

Every other body part was made the same to make production more effecient so I don't see why they wouldn't be the same.

I decided to have SoG order me a new bumper shell, but they get it unpainted....anyone have experience with a good body shop to paint and install my bumper?....also, the shell itself is $239, how much do you think it should cost to have it painted and installed? Thanks.
