A/c

    quick question, yesterday I went to turn on my a/c and the belt started making a sound, so I leave it on and pop the hood and take a look, tha compressor was stuck and it wasnt moving @ all, yall think I need a new one or is there a way to get it unstuck?

    Did you try to turn it by hand.?without the engine running. You may have a locked up compressor.Prob will need a ac compressor,clutch,receiver/drier and an evacuate and recharge with freon..$$$$

    i think it's the clutch. i'm having the same problem with mine.

    mine did that, turns out either the previous owner or the body shop had over tightened the pulley on that side and eventually burned up the clutch in the a/c compressor and alos snapped the bottom tension bolt on the tensioner pulley. and to top it off one of my lines randomly starting spewing freon. so, i decided it was time to yank it out. that's right no a/c in GA. an before you flame, i've done it before in a BLACK '92 mustang gt with vinyl seats, so trust me, I can handle it.

    I think I might have done that, how much is the clutch for it?
