Hey guys... im finally going to install my new shocks this weekend(Tokico D-Specs) :) ... but i still need to know what specs i should get as far as alignment goes. The car will be used for street driving with auto-x on the weekends. And im not using camber bolts. I want good performance but dont want my tires to wear too fast. what kind of specs are some of you guys running?

    Thanks

I think I am running 2.1 Negative Camber in the front, rear I think is .9 which is the max you can get without getting camber plates. And I think I am running 3 degrees of toe in up front.

I'd suggest maxing out the rear's camber, and looking at around -1.8 to -2.0 front.

So far my tires are wearing nicely, I have about 5000 to 7000 miles on the new set and there is still more than half the tread left. I am having trouble finding the supposed tread life on these tires, but I think the guy at Gran Turismo said they should be good for around 150000 miles. Mind you, these tires have spanned the 2/3 of last Auto X Season, and a 30 minute season on RA at picture day.

Without using camber bolts you will only be able to get around -1.5 front camber and around the same for rear camber. Basically the only "change" you can do is to max out the front stock camber bolts. The rear isn't adjustable w/o aftermarket bolts. You can wiggle out a few tenths here and there by loosening everything, holding one way, and then tightening, but most alignment shops will not feel like doing that.

I will echo the -2F, ~-1.5R camber as the perfect street setup.

I think you mean 0.3 degrees of toe-in. 3.0 degrees toe-in would cause a serious wear issue.

I bought some intraxx ones (theyre retarded expensive, however, this is what SOG had at the time), and they worked just fine. We were able to see -2.4 rear. Granted, its now set around -1.4, that was the max we saw.

Napa Auto Parts carries camber bolts for a very good price. I've forgotten the part #s, so you might want to call around and find a store that has them in stock.

They are the ones I used in the back of my STX car until I got a better means of camber adjustment back there :)
