So since the whole no gas crisis.

I've been using 91oct + economy mode. I've been using 93oct for a good month now and just been too lazy to switch maps.

Am I gonna blow anything up?

And by blow up I don't mean 'kaboom,' I mean will anything serious happen? :)

ETA: I'm also not on stock turbo. Just thought I'd throw that out there...

You shouldnt have any issues other than paying for extra octane that you're not using. The added fuel might foul out your sparkplugs and 02 sensors quicker.

I'm not positive, but I thought the economy mode for the AP just reduced the redline (to ~5800 RPM, I think), and pulled the timing back a little to adjust for the lower octane fuel. If these are true (can someone confirm), then I don't see how this could 'blow up' your engine.

I feel like this would be the same as using 93 octane in a car that only requires 87...or even a stock wrx, which really only requires 91 octane. You're just getting a little extra knock protection.

The economy map limits boost to 7psi or so. I don't think it has any effect on redline. I would guess it also retards timing some. Not so much fun to drive!
