Ok, so right after the hail storm, I was toying with the idea of a new car (A 2004 or 2005 WRX) and talked to a few dealers, but then decided against it. Then, today out of the blue, the sales manager from Subaru of Gwinnett called me and was going on about how they needed used inventory and how they were willing to pay me more than the GTP. He also said that they are giving 2.5-3K off of all new WRXs and he really wants my business.

First of all, it seems kind of fishy and second of all, I am really tempted!

    What should I do?

BTW, I am going to the adjuster tomorrow to settle the claim, so I am expecting at least 2K since the estimate I have from the dealer is $3300 for the repairs.

Damn, will need to let Alex RX-8 know about this.

Oh, it couldnt hurt to pursue the deal and see what's going on.

Yeah, $3K off of an '05 is pretty good.

Hmm, interesting, it might be an option.

I don't know about the 3k off, but from what I understand about the GTP, they have more room to work with than they let on. I have been considering switching to a wagon, maybe I should head over there??

FWIW, I got quotes around $21,500 on a 05 wagon; sticker around $25,800. So 3k off isn't a huge deal -- you can probably do better if you fax attack the dealers in town.
