Blackout Headlights Yellow Highbeams

    Hello Everyone,

    I am thinking about finally blacking out my headlights. I am thinking about doing it all black with yellow behind the highbeams. Anyone seen this before on the 06/07 STi headlights? Also where do you guys think I can find some of that yellow paint. I think I think it is yellow stain glass window paint but I am not sure if thats what everyone uses. Any info will be appreciated.


    UPDATE 2/26/09:

    So we decided to go ahead and do the headlights... i was really nervous but i think they turned out okay.. lmk what you guys think.. Speacial thanks to Sparta for helping me(more like i helped him)!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I have not seen that before.. But yellow stain glass paint will work.

    will the stain glass paint or tint hold up with the heat?

    this is what i am trying to do with the 06/07 wrx headlights..

    I used krylon transparent yellow paint on my foglights that have HIDs in them and never had a problem with it. You can pick it up in just about any hobby store or order it online. just do a google product search on it.

    I have had the yellow stain glass paint on my fogs for two years no problem....

    excellent.. anyone ever seen this done on the 06/07 headlights before.. im curious to see what it will look like..

    Nope looks like you'll be original. Can't wait to see what it looks like. Let me know if u need some help painting the headlights

    hey aneel, i asked my friend about it and he said he used a transparent yellow paint, but he forgot what it exactly was.

    I have to admit, I wasn't sure about these, but they're completely badass. They look particularly good with the WRB.

    Awesome dude. Its was actually kinda fun and I'm glad they came out good, you may have the cleanest Sti I've seen thus far

    find out whos car that is and if it has an 01 prelude drivetrain. that looks exactly like my old acorn sans the wheels


    i can see that it atleast has a twin cam motor. but mine had a black valve cover

    I think it woulda looked better without the amber.but they look good.

    are you referring to my headlights or his fogs?? if you are referring to my headlights i just like the yellow backdrop where the highbeams are.. i like how it glows when the regular headlights are on...
