Boost guage

    My boost guage is reading 22psi and my AP is showing 17 why would they be off so much i installed it where the stock guage was hooked up and the stock guage was never off .

    it could just be the gauge being off.. mine reads 2 psi over

    well damn that sucks....Where is your tap into. the stock one was tapd into the vacume right by the Recir valve.

    where would the best place to tap into for the boost gauge ?

    you know thats is a better question. Cause the ones i got says tap into like the t and run to sensor.

    I heard the BOV / BPV is the best place but again i have not done it
    boost gauge to BPV

    well i need to tale a pic and show you.. i ahev tit he same place wehre the ECU reads boost.

    yep thats the most comon place. i would sugest you make sure the hose that goes into the guage is connected properly. i had autometer guages that took a lil bleeder piece in the end before conecting. make sure if you have one is in strait. this doesnt sound like a leak or it would read lower than your ap. it rests on 0 when car is off right?

    I dunno if this is true or not, but I remember someone saying something about the AP reads boost at a different location than the BPV-tapped boost gauge does. That could be what is giving you different readings, but im not sure if that is true.

    Yeah, off of the front of the manifold. There is a barb that comes out and makes a 90 degree turn down. Make a t-fitting into the line there. Then run the vacuum line through the firewall near the dp. You will see a big black rubber piece that has an R and L on it. I just used a sharp object to punch a small hole in it to fit the line. The rubber will seal around it after you have inserted the tube because its very elastic.
