I called SOG and they quoted me 159$ for front pads for my 06 wrx. has anyone had to do brakes on an 06 yet? Looking for some a lot less $$.I work at a Toyota dealer and we do a complete front brake job for 189$.(factory pads and turn rotors).that includes a lot of 4-piston caliper vehicles.Just spoke w/troncalli 144$ for pads.how much are the hawk pads and how do they compare.

but, are you doing all that on the super duper 4 piston brakes, or regular 2 piston brakes?

I know that....I was talking about his stealership charging 189.00 for a brake job. That's for NORMAL brakes, not upgraded 4 piston brakes.

Normally a dealer charges about $260 for each axle on brake jobs...unless they get aftermarket pads (job is cheaper) or if the pads are super expensive (like STi).

thanks for the info.may order online factory pads. If I was to try the Hawks which ones work best for street driving. I do go up to the mountains and enjoy the curves but no track days planned in the near future.

If you are not going to be hard on the brakes (serious mnt runs, track, etc) then stock is best.

Otherwise, anything aftermarket is going to make noise. But if you can live with the noise...HPS is fine. Ive got them pretty hot before they pad faded.
