Well the other night last saturday* i ended up throwing a CELL P0304 (cyl 4 misfire.
So I pulled over and disconnected the battery. On my merry way and I havent seen the cell since. I will probably end up replacing my plugs in the next week or so since I have 55K on the originals.

But now the car seems extremely sluggish. I went ahead and made sure the stage2 HWG map was flashed. For some reason gears 3-6 I do not see over 17lbs of boost. I believe when Scott tuned it I was hitting around 18.5 or 19lbs.

So my question what would cause this?

I will say the temperature in texas the last week has been in the 100s and the car was tuned it was maybe 80 in GA. Wondering if this is the culprit.

Maybe I need a little tweak to my tune to accomodate for the HOT texas weather??

I figure tomorrow I am going to check all my lines and make sure things look ok.

    Open for ideas...

Also what brand cable are folks using from Radio shack, frys, or some where to data log?

I bough a USB -> serial cable and cant get exuexplorer or my laptop to play nicely.

I'm thinking heat. I know heat can cause maf temperatures to read high and in turn pull timing. This could be your misfires??

You are correct temp is your culprit, my car has done the same previously in very hot weather...tuned for 19 and hitting 16-17psi.

Misfire only happened that one time. Havent had it show back up since.

Just something from the "butt" stand point does not feel right.
May need to data log and maybe see if SS can take a look at them.

swap coil packs and see if it (the mis-fire) goes with the coil pack.
i.e. swap coilpacks from cyl #1 to #4

May want to plan on getting a compression test as well.

If you still get the CEL with swapping the coil packs, try swapping the injectors.

Also, RomRaider works better with the cheap ebay vagcomm cables for logging.

Logging is the cheapest solution and would let you know (or a tuner) whats goign on....if plugs need to be replaced it will show....if timing is being pulled it should show that (depending on the program being used)

Sitting at subaru of Plano right now

Injectors checked out ok. Plugs fine.

They are doing a leak and compression test right now. Crossing my fingers those look ok.

Phew. Hopefully that got rid of the misfire.

Every time I see someone post "May wanna get a compression test" or "I'm gonna have to do a compression test this weekend" this doomy music plays in my head and I'm filled with an all-encompassing dread. It heavily affects my quality of life.

Hold on...why did you swap both the coil packs and the injectors at the same time? Now you won't know which caused your problem if you get the CEL.

Subaru of Plano did this not me. I talked to the guy and asked him if I get a
P0301 then i will be getting a new coil pack and injector correct? He said yes.

Can anyone give me the cable type / make / etc that is working with RomRaider . ECU explorer etc... I am sick of buying a cable testing it and not havin it work.
