Cobb AP question

    Are the 02 and 03 Cobb AP's the same? Say I were to buy a used AP from the owner of an 03, that will work, right?

    Nope, Each year accessport is specific per model year subaru. To my understanding.

    I can't tell you for sure for 02/03 but 04/05/06 aren't compatible at all alot of people got burned in the beginning when they first came out.

    JL is mostly correct, most years and tranny types have specific AP's. Fortunately for you, 02-03 are the only years that they are interchangeable :D

    The new AP 2.0 has greater flexibility. Only 2 models. 1 for 2.0L engines and 1 for 2.5L engines.

    FWIW, you can flash 05 firmware on an 04 AP (I did that on mine), and probably vice versa.

    Like SS said, it'll be fine. There is a different connector for under the dash though, so make sure the person selling it to you gives you both (it comes with both originally).
