    If my battery dies, do i have to download the map again? I have the access port 1.0..

    it means you'll lose the real time map. you won't lose the flashed map

    Yep, just reflash the realtime map and you are good to go!

    If your realtime map and base map are the same, no action required... Correct?

    Correct. Any learning the ECU has done will most likely be lost, so drive it nice for a day or two...depends on how spot on the map was.
