Yes but you must consider his cams and hogged out heads are MUCH more flowing than what my stock heads with Sti cams had.
Maybe if only you had a poor mans gt35r you wouldn't have slid your car off the road. Don't forget your set up with the real gt35r also had aftermarket headers. The coupe has stock headers that haven't even been ported.
lawl...pwnd but, mine made more powa (and i was on non-ported heads w/ a stock wrx manifold, too) in all serious, like i told rick, congrats...that's gonna be a lot of fun for very little cost, and you guys are sure to have a blast w/ it. I'd pat each of you on the back, but that's just gay...instead, I'll buy rick some ESB and mike a firefly cocktail next time we're out
headers don't help peak numbers at all dude. Just the midrange....we proved that. Oh and if I didn't slide my car off the road you wouldn't even be having this conversation.
LOL thank you for getting me out of a headache of a car. And I'll outdrive you any day at the drag strip.....I've heard you whine about that for years.
How did I miss this build. Very nice work, and in a very lightweight chassis the power must feel immense. Is this going to be a dual purpose street and track car?
I think it is Sharif. But doubt it'll be on the street a whole lot as Rick has several other daily drivers. His WRX has like 50 miles a year on it.
It would be really nice to see some super fast local Subaru's out on track. There are a handful across the country, but lately I haven't seen many.
Coolrex... this power was made on a TMIC... with a FMIC I am sure I could have pushed it a bit more. With that being said Rick asked for a conservative tune for the track so thats what I gave him. If this was a drag tune it would have made another 20 wheel.
Wirelessly posted Sheesh I'm just trying to ruffle Ricks feathers. You think I'm talking trash. Alex is right this forum is a total abomination from what it used to be.
I agree and probably a tad more if we didnt have so many issues with the damn Halman pro. I don't think I have ever seen you lift on so many pulls due to something not looking right. Way to be on top of it! She will probably spend her early days on the street working out any bugs. Once caged I doubt it will see any street. We are hoping to get her to the strip soon! We figure if anything is going to come apart better have it happen at low street speeds or running in a straight line. YES, the feeling is very immense, doug ran 2,3 and half of 4th after coming off the dyno and I was scared shitless, not so much when driving as you are braced for what is coming, as a passenger I nearly soiled my undeez. If you don't have the balls to do it to someones face then don't do it at all.
I'm just glad to see this thing on the road and to see the source of my pain and headaches working out.
give it time m3boi, your new ride will end up the same... if you don't think it will, you're in denial
That funny Rick. It's a fact your cars never could match mine. You sure tried but failed. Must have been the guy that worked on my car? Love it...haters always gonna hate.
Wut are you talking about? You always had a reason you could not come to any events we had... Oh and we found a boost leak at < 5psi...there is more to be had in this po mans turbo!
6 hrs away for a freak drag event that may leave me with a broken car? Dude you are stupider than I thought. Oh and should've had someone else work on that car......would've found that less than 5 psi boost leak.:rofl::rofl:In all seriousness glad you found it. Now get some Q16! It's proven that motor likes it!
EXCUSE me for listening and taking advice from WJM who was the one that told me to trim a little. I think he misunderstood what I was trying to tell him when I contacted him though however he said he has had to trim a few himself.
Yup I did.....I wasn't supposed to trim AT ALL. Doh! LOL Originally the compression ring was buldging all out so I ask WJM if that was normal as other motors I build on non-subaru's didn't protrude that much. He said sometimes they need a link or two of trimming. Well one ring got trimmed 2 1/2 by accident and doh SMOKE SHOW.
As long as it is not the person that built the engine. The car sounds like a deisel with all the piston slap. haha very funny. :fawk: douche
It hasn't blown yet though has it? What happened to yours? :fawk: Heh I care less.....I gots my money.
