So over in Oxford this summer, kebab was the #1 late night snack just because there were stands everywhere (and it was delicious). Well I've been craving it like whoa recently and just wondered if anyone knew of somewhere in Atlanta (preferably midtown or buckhead) that does it. I did a quick google and all I found was a restaurant in Marietta.

I know there are some ethnic foodies on this site. :)

The best I ever had were in Switzerland, for a whopping $10.00 before the bottom of the dollar fell out.

Does anyone know of a not so classy place? I'm talking like a whole in the wall. I just feel like there has got to be some little Turkish restaurant somewhere in Atlanta that specializes in making amazing Kebab. If not I might break down and go to Cafe Istanbul or Efes (the place in Marietta) in the near future, because I've got a hunger.

You mean Divan? I didn't even think about that place.

I think the best I had was in Brussels. :) It's hard to say though because we ate them at so many different places.

There's a place in little five points that has pretty decent kebab. I've only been there once. It doesn't really measure up to the stand right up the street from Worcester (I'm sure you've been there), but its pretty good. Its right near rag-o-rama, I think.

    Man, I miss england.

    Haha, right you are.

I'll have to keep a look out for it next time I'm over there :) (little 5, that is)

Ha! Thats awesome that we've been to the same one. Makes sense I guess.

I loved that place. I never got chili sauce (I thought the ridiculous spiciness ruined the flavor of the meat...idk), but the guy would always be like "Extra chili sauce?" with a smirk on his face. Every time.

And two lousy pounds got you a whole mound of chips covered with TONS of white cheddar cheese. EPIC WIN. Good thing I did a lot of walking while I was over there.

I just googled, and it looks like the one Russ mentioned in Little Five is the other location of Ali Baba's. I'll definitely have to check one of them out. Thanks!

Haha, for real. I lost a bit of weight during the travel portion, but once we got to Worchester and had a consistent breakfast and dinner and then frequently a 2 am "snack" (basically the largest meal of the day), I gained every bit of it back. :)
