I've needed to renew my registration for a while now. I went to get my emissions a few days ago and two different places said my DLC isn't responding.

Could be a blown fuse... But I haven't been able to find it. Im told it should be the same fuse that powers the cig-lighter but thats still working...

    Any ideas??

    Cheers

Have you tried plugging your own pc into the car to see if it will communicate?

nope. Dont think I have the right cable either...

This couldn't be due to unplugging the daytime running lights switch is it??

Not really sure. You can swing by my house and we can put the Accessport + PC to it and see if we can communicate if you want. Maybe the plug under your dash is switched into test mode or whatever it is called.

Awesome, So fortunately I got my emissions. Don't know why it didn't work at two other places but no biggy. On to fixing something else now...

I have seen this before... its actually the connector. Some times the pins don't make full contact so you need to plug into it and then hold pressure sideways against the connector to make contact.

That's exactly what Mike said too. Todd (OP) dropped by my house and we were able to get Tari to talk with his ECU. So maybe us looking for loose contacts and plugging in the OBD2 a couple times set it straight. He had no issues passing emissions at the place down the street from my house.
