having problems to install a cobb dp to a hks carbon ti; holes in midpipe are wider than those on dp, the stock bolts don't fit w/out the springs and with springs it's almost impossible to compress them for them to fit... any ideas?:wtc:

No idea dude... I don't see why not, but i don't see why you're having a problem. I'd call COBB and ask for advice.

I believe the COBB downpipe uses the donut ring gasket in order to work with the stock catback. You should still be able to mate it to the HKS no problem. Use the bolts that came with the HKS exhaust and mate them together as much as you can.

    Hope this helps...

so go to home depot and get a few different sets of bolts that you think might fit...that is what i had to do last time i swapped exhausts.

Cobb also is intended to mate to the stock midpipe / intermediate section = 2.5" flange.

I would imagine that the HKS flange is a 3" flange.

Home Depot bolts should help you do the trick along with the flipped donut gasket.

you are quite right Alex, the dp it's a 2.5" and the midpipe it's a 3" therefore the origin of this dilemma!!!:sx: i thank you and hopefully HD will have the bolts that will make me happy!!!:wiggle:

Buy yourself a set of locking vice grips. Clamp the two exhaust sides together and then try threading the spring loaded bolts. I had to take a small piece of the coil off with a hacksaw the first time I changed them. Don't cut your fingers off trying this.
