    I've got a cabin reserved and have had a couple folks back out. If anyone wants to go up for a relaxing weekend in the mountains, let me know!

    I was out of town the previous 2 weekends for the last event in February. So, I felt I needed to stay home.

    This coming trip, I didn't plan it, but I'm going.

    I should have mentioned I'm a maybe for a day trip. I'm interested in at least cruising these other roads you always mention. If it is going to be that type of trip

    I'd be interested in a route. I'm tired of the roads I take back to Atlanta from Asheville. Coming down to Atlanta next weekend for the marathon.

    Toying with the idea of cruising some of the Blue Ridge Pkwy for the scenery.

    Yep...then hwy 28 up to Highlands...back down the other side (hwy 28 and 64). Then you want to get up to Waynesville to pick up 276 to Brevard. That will take you through Pisgah National Forest and up and down a nice peak that has an entrance to the Parkway on the top. However...all you will get to do is look at scenery on the Parkway as it is well patrolled. OR...you can bomb down the other side to Brevard.

    Oh interesting, I had a similar start plotted but change to 107 to 281 to 215 and maybe do the slow cruise on blue ridge, But that 276 bit looks really neat.

    Awesome. Just post up a meeting time and place (the gravel parking area on 129 between Foothills Parkway and the "start" of the Dragon is a good place).

    Hmm, along the way that goes not too far away from Franklin via 28 heading north and from Franklin up 28 heading north to US 19 near Nantahala Village/Tsali and then back would add a lot of turns...

    Well I'm leaving my dorm now. I'll be on the Dragon in about an hour. I'll be the guy in the Dark Gray Metallic Forester giving thumbs up to anyone wearing the six stars badge. Hope to see some of you out there. Be safe!
