Say you failed a visual test but passed the odbii test. Could you go somewhere else and possibly pass or does the system have the reason why you failed saved and availble for other testing stations to see?

I didn't think there was a visual inspection but the place a friend went to had one even though the car is on '02.

IIRC it is saved in a database, and on the carfax. Once it is ran, the carfax will show a failed emissions. As far as showing the reason, I would imagine it is saved also.

I would say post on IA and see if anyone there has a "hook-up". As crazy as it may sound, IA is the place to go, lol.

I had a visual done on the Audi last week during the emissions. He was poking around for a while and I started to get worried.

the place on hemphall(i think thats right) and 14th couldn find my cats and asked me so i got worried. im running stock headers with the head shields on them and i just pointed at them and he was like "oh they make them so small these days" so they pretty much dont know what they are doing. But if the young black guy is there he doesnt even check.

problem is the car has already been inspected. The question is can you go somewhere else that doesn't do a visual and pass or will they see the reason and then be forced to do the visual?

I guess you are best off just trying and seeing if they check it

I just did emissions here in Gwinnett with just an open cat back (high flow cat but still no muffler) and passed OBDII. The guy told me, "you passed but I'm supposed to say something about the exhaust". I just mentioned I had a high flow cat on there and the o2 sensor is properly plugged in.
