N1 is very loud, but it reminds me of my HKS Hi-Power. I love the HKS, not too loud, has a nice mellow sound when idle, and is really throaty when on power. I know there are some sound clips floating around. There is one on www.fastwrx.com. Its fairly inexpensive also, should be under 500, especially if you find one used.
The Prodrive is nice(just took one off my 06) ,but it sounds very much like the stock 06 exhaust. Just marginally louder. Unless you take the resonator out(not many options out there that fit in stock locations) its not going to change much. On a side note, I have a Prodrive exhaust with only 1000 miles on it for sale. I think that exhaust on eBay is a very good deal and you should jump on that...I would if it wasn't that loud, but I bet it sounds awesome and throaty... Mark
can it really be much louder than a nur spec R ? :0 Depends also on your DP ? Catted ? Resonator pipe. I thought the ebay one has an end cap that can greatly reduce the loudness but of course sarfice some flow
Nope, I don't think so...The JIC that slowwrx has on his STi is actually louder than the NurSpecR. Mark

The prodrive is definately louder than stock. Ive been through a couple of exhausts and at this point, with that budget, you could look into an invidia product. They're loud and enjoyable. Send a PM to Sakari with an inquiry.
Another important question: Do you have a downpipe? This is where you will see the most gain. The catback is more for sound quality and level.
