Its not a good thing for your car to be doing that much fireballing, but for them it is tuned to do just that. They are running a rally-type anti-lag system, where they pull a rediculous amount of timing in order to have the fuel combust in the exhaust, causing the turbo to build boost much much sooner. The WRC cars get rediculous boost at like 2600 rpms because of anti-lag. But in order to do this properly, you have to have a standalone, and a very hardcore exhaust to put up with all that abuse. Oh yeah, and its loud as hell too :naughty:

I need to take my cat off SOOO bad lol I back fire because I run real rich b4 correction of the SAFC2 on the fuel curve, an IS with open exhuast and no fuel correction can spit some mean ones. A supercharged IS with meth. inj running 22 psi throws nice blue flames for about oh 4 feet, it's spectacular

ya not only loud, but sound NASSSSTY
misfiring systems are so freaking cool, I'm suprised more people haven't taken a likening to them here on the autoX circuits. most people scratch thier heads when I ask why they haven't thought about adding one. Great video man

So badass. It would be nice if Ecutek would have launch control on the Subies like on the Evo tunes.

According to Doug at Topspeed, EcuTek can do launch control, but because of the glass trannys on the 02-03 they won't release it here in the US.
