Observed a FORD expedition caught on fire at IKEA
I know they have a recall a bout a year ago about some speed sensor relay heating up and flashing the oil.

I want to get an extinguisher for my car
Any recommendations as to what and where - the lower $ the better of course

go to lowes or homedepot, they are like $20 for a pretty good one.

I just picked up a silver Kidde that's an A-B-C for about 20 bucks at Lowes. Now I just need to figure out how to mount it where its accessable and inconspicuous.

it'd be worth it to call a fired department and ask... maybe these household ones are packed differently, even if the chems are the same..

    yes i saw that too
but i opted for the one with the gauge so i know its still pressurized and the color :)

the catch is its for auto use but it never says for storage in auto

    i emailed the mfg
i dont think fire dept will be able to help - they would take the safe route since they dont know what i have.

I will keep an eye on the gauge so if the pressure is too high ill take it out (out of range)

I just got one from lowes, it says to keep it below 120 degrees...so it might be ok if you have tinted windows and a sun shade when you part it for a long time.
