I just gave my 06 STI it's first oil change and I figured I'd try Mobile 1 we'll any how I went to Florida and Back and now it seems my engineis tapping a little louder sounds like lifters, is this normal ? or should I change the oil again?:hs: What would happen if they over filled the oil? could this cause it?
I've heard that you should give the engine at least 7000 miles or so on standard oil before switching to synthetic, it helps the seals break in better. Boxer motors tend to click a little bit more than normal motors, it might be something normal or even just a placebo effect that you think you're hearing.
