Ok ive narrowed my choices down to 2 fmic's but i dont know which one i should get...

I already have an APS cold air intake so the obvious choice would be to go with the APS DR725 FMIC because it is will definitely fit with the CAI. The cost of this one is around $1400 which is kinda pricey but it is definitely a super high quality system. The only thing i can see that would be bad about this one is that the core is gi-freaking-gantic. It measures 28 x 9.5 x 4.5", its 1" thicker than any other front mount ive seen for the WRX. So would having a core this big cause a much more noticable increase in turbo lag when compared to a more average size FMIC???

**Same as below except now it comes with polished piping**

My other choice is the Perrin FMIC. It costs around $1100 bucks (much cheaper) and with the difference in cost i could buy the Perrin short ram intake that is designed to fit with that front mount. The core on this system measures 28 x 9.25 x 3.5" and is also fairly high quality.

Or does anyone know if the Perrin FMIC will fit with the APS cold air intake, cause that would save alot of money and alot of trouble.

I would imagine that they modify the TGVs to work as indivdual throttle bodies.

I would pick based on the turbo you wish to use. The APS is setup for a 50-59lb turbo. Anything smaller Id go Perrin. It is a very nice setup. I wish I had one :p

I've seen both of them up close and personal and the Perrin is the one to get. Not that the APS one is bad but for the money and what you get, you can't beat the Perrin FMIC.

yea i would plan around the turbo you decide to get..it will increase your lag a bit but it will also come on a lot stronger..out of the 2 i would get the perrin..On a side note i have the Injen front mount and i am very happy with it..its not to big..you keep your fogs and stock bumper beam

Maybe for the bugeyes but 04+ you can still use your foggies, even the JDM ones.
