FWD fuse question?

    yesterday i looked in my engine compartment fuse box to get my fuse puller and i noticed on the fuse lid that on the diagram it had a FWD listing on it,ive heard that there was a fwd fuse before but i had never looked,but i looked into my fuse box and there is nothing where it lists it..is this normal?

    Its there in your wiring harness regardless of MT or AT...but with an MT it doesnt do anything.

    If you install the fuse it disables the lock up plates in the ATs.

    If you have a Direct 4EAT (D4EAT) then you still have 'AWD' but you have a constant 45/55 split thru the planetary center diff.

    All WRX's have a D4EAT if they are AT equipped. Most foresters from 2004+ have it, all the VDC equipped outbacks have it. Most other Legacy/Outbacks have it...depends on what trim level you got tho.

    Otherwise, if its not a D4EAT...if you install the fuse you are 100% front wheel drive as the design of the 'center diff' is just a clutch pack that when fluid pressure is applied you get 'lock up' that brings the split from 100/0 all the way to 50/50.

    so, i have an AT, if i pull it .. itll be a FWD? i thought the wrxs had a diff at than all other subarus?
