Ok, so I know there's about 12-15 WRX's at Tech... why don't we try and pull a Tech g2g sometime (old people like Milo can come too even though he's way smarter than us undergrads :wavey: ). ahhh good ole 'ma tech.... i've been paroled for one year, eight months.... acually i drove past brown on north ave last week and there freshmen standing on the corner looking lost, we all waved at them and said "hi freshmen".

Hoge? :rofl: ) Anyway, they are just now selling parking passes over the counter for $519 :eek3: (thank god my folks are nice). If I'm lucky, I'll get me car on Saturday.
Yea, i'd be down for that. It sucks keeping the car out in homepark, way too much pollen, tree and bird crap. We could get away with holding it on the top floor of north parking deck maybe.
By the way, my only tech sightings so far 04' WRB Sti with gold BBS in Tech square 04' Black Sti in front of CRC 04' WRB WRX debadged parked continuously in front of FIGI 04/05 White WRX parked in front of Sigma Chi/CCF 03' Black WRX in front of Kappa Sig. Might help to round them up, i dunno, i don't spend enough time on campus cos i co-op.

Nah i'm a delta sig, but i live in homepark. I do park in front of the house occaisionally though. Speaking of, we're having a large party in 2 weeks in homepark, will keep you all posted.
Nick, Don't think i've ever seen your car. the only black wrx's i see are Milo and the FIJI... So add one more to the list i guess.
You're always welcome in whatever car you bring. Most of the time we'll all have friends come along with their cars too.
I go to Georgia State, but live close to Tech and I have a grad tech student living with me. Can I come or is this just a Tech thing and us State students aren't included?
This was posted as a GA Tech g2g but it's not exclusive. My thinking was to try and get all of the Tech-area people/students together so we can finally know who's driving all of those WRX's on campus. I think it'd be awesome if the state people came too since you're right next door. :wiggle:
speaking of saabarus... anyone know whose 92x parks by the GT police station? I see it every day walking from the Love building to GTRI.
I take marta everyday, can't afford parking permit...and don't particularly like downtown streets. someone did some calculations (it's normal at Tech), it was figured that getting tickets would be cheaper than a parking permit since you won't get a ticket everyday...forgot the details, anyone know how much is a parking ticket?
with no permit they're $50. A permit is $600 (rounding up to the nearest $100)... so if we have an 9 month school year you need to get just over 1 a month to break even. From personal experience, they'll get you a lot more than thatvif you park there every day, especially if your car is bright blue...
Based on my mis-calculation last year, I ended up getting parking permit this year. Last semester alone, I paid almost $100 to City of Atlanta and $0 to GT (but has $100 outstanding that i won't pay to them), and lots and lots of quarters to parking meters. I think I paid $550 this year for parking permit. But what I think the best is the peaceful mind that you don't have to worry about getting tickets or towed.
a good alternative if you have nowhere to park on campus is go to city hall and get a homepark parking pass for 10 bucks, park on atlantic, 5 min walk to east, park on curran, 5 min walk to west. oh btw: they boot your car on your 3rd outstanding ticket which is 120 dollars to remove and the count only gets reset once a semester. now that they can find your email out from your license plate somehow(i know wtf,i never registered with them), the fines just transfer into your bursar account if unpaid.
Anyone know who has the wingless blue wingless 06 wrx? Or the blue 06 STi? I've waved at the STi but no response, and have only seen the blue wrx when i've been walking.
I've waved at the black dude in the wingless '06 and the asian dude in the '06 STi several times and never got a response :hs: See them all the time.

you must be waving at the wrong WRX's... I always thought it would be cool to set up some kind of course on ferst street and race it. Starting at the esit gate to the library, turn left on fowler, left on ferst, finish up at Tech tower. If you go through the Trolley stop backwards, there's only one speedbump, and you'd have to get clearance to run the lights and stop signs, but there's lots of turns and it's a nice broad road. Of only tech would go for it ;-)
