ok, my car unlocks without a problem using the key fob, but when i actually use the key, the alarm goes off and it wont start the car..:squint: then wth am i going to do when the key fob has no battery? :eek3:
Ok try this, when you use the key and the alarm goes off, stick the key in the ignition and turn it to on (don't crank the car, just go to the on portion of the ignition; the last one before you actually crank the car) and back to off five times (so once you stick the key in the ignition going to "on" then "off" is considered one time). Let me know how this works for you, because IIRC this is what I had to do with mine when the alarm would go off.
What he said, I accidentally left my keys in my pocket at the beach one time. The key fob got water damaged and I ended up having to use this technique.
