glovebox light

    didn't know where else to stick this...

    I'm trying to change the cabin filter, and i can't get the damn glovebox light plug to disconnect. Is there some trick? i need some help here, i'm losin daylight... :grr:

    well, i guess it wont kill me to have it dangle a couple days...

    tempted to just snip & splice...

    um you dont have to unplug the glovebox light to change the filter

    ok then either come over here and prove the manual wrong (because I'm having trouble working around it) or tell me how to undo the connector...

    try a little screwdriver, not to pry but just to maybe push in any locking tabs it may have. Never seen that particular connector but those little screwdrivers help with a bunch of tricky connectors.

    yeah, thats what i've been trying, but i'm not sure where/how to push, press, clinch or squeez. :-/

    I just seem to be doing a good job of mangling the plastic plug and its still not loose. I haven't hated a connector this much since I replaced a couple of Ford turn-signal assemblies in the steering columns...

    Finally!

    Mangulated the damn thing, but got it off.

    ....if anyone remembers me complaining about an in-cabin smell, i think i just found it...
