For those that have the first one and have NOT played the 2nd one, you are in for a huge surprise. They didn't like try to reinvent the wheel or anything, but they amped up a lot of things.
Better combat, better platforming(interesting additions), harder puzzles, more diverse enemies, better storyline, etc.

I could go on and on about this game, but I'll just say this is another classic by this team.

yeah I've definitely wanted to play it, but no playstation here. It actually looks kind of similar in gameplay to Prince of Persia (which is also an awesome game), but since I haven't played God of War I don't really know.

Have you tried GameFly? IF so, have you tried Blockbuster's Online do-hicky? If you sign up in the store I think you get like a free 2 month trial or something. Try it, then cancel it

    Rippin off the man....

You don't NEED to play the 1st one to enjoy the 2nd.
But it helps to better understand the storyline and combat elements.

You can get it at GameStop for like $15

Got Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones right before I got GoW2 and they are kinda similar but not really (I know that makes no sense, think old comparison between Sonic and Mario).

Maybe I'm biased but I think GoW kicks PoP's ass. If you like PoP, you'll love GoW
