I showed up there yesterday at closing time and they stayed to mount and balance two sets of tires for the race car. Super nice guys. They also did the alignment on the 240 a couple of weeks ago and they did a bang up job on it as well. You couldn't ask for nicer or more knowledgeable people. Matt
They usually always work after closing trying to help me out, they close at 7 on thursdays but I can't make it over there until about 5:30 but they always fit me in
I finally got my alignment done at GTE by Jeff today and I was really happy with the outcome!!. They do really excellent work there!!. I highly recommend them for alignments and such!!. Great prices too. +1 for GTE!!!!. Mark
Older thread i know, but i wanted to put in my opinion too. I went to GTE a week or two ago based on the comments here and loved the service. I got the damaged rim off my car, new one mounted balanced, installed, and the whole car aligned with a person of equal weight in the driver seat. The alignment was $85, which for an all hand done job is great imo. This place has earned my business.
Oh yeah, +1 for a good hand job! I am going in tomorrow morning for new tires and an alignment...and a hand job.
I went there yesterday. I loved my experience there. Owner ( i'm sure he was..) was pretty funny and talked to us a lot. Other customers were pretty interesting too!
I made the mistake on getting my alignment done at GTE while Jeff was on vacation. The tech aligned my front with the camber plates. They are all the way to the fenders, well beyond the adjustment marks. This was after I dropped off the car and asked specifically not to mess with the plates. Jeff is the man for sure and I trust no one else.
John is the new alignment tech in training and they are working very hard to make sure he understands how things work. That however takes time, hes learning and in a couple of years I'm sure he will be good at it. They all work very hard and are one of the most dedicated shops I have ever been to.
I am planning to go and get them to do my alignment after I put my new springs on. Should I ask for Jeff to do it??
I'll be going there when I get the new suspension on. Are the performance alignments by Jeff still $85?
Just wanted to add that Jeff took care of my previous alignment and I couldn't have been happier. Great bunch of guys over there at GTE!
jeff is the one who curses all the time....like the rest of us. i love GTE. they have been taking car of my alignments and tires for a few years now on both my GC and S13, and my g/f's WRX wagon. going back very soon for new tires and an alignment on the GC.
Hey Trey, Did he re-do the alignment without any extra charge? I just had my alignment done there about 2-3 weeks ago, I got RCE camber plates and they did the alignment using them . I wasnt there, my friend dropped my car off but I spoke with them over the phone and told them to just do the alignment without touching the camber plates. Weird thing is they did -1.6 camber up front, but the position on where they put the bolts on the camber plates are totally different on both sides. I dont even know who did the alignment..heh
