It doesn't look like much, but I would give it a try if there wasn't another event that weekend (2 day se divisional finale at AMS)

    Their classing is interesting...

Interesting. I may try to make it to this. Need to replace my rear brakes first though.

no, this is not drift style, it is a JDM style autoX, which is essentially a mix between drifting and what we call autocross here. Here is a video of one from japan:

It is about getting around the course fastest, with no points for style like drifting. On some tight stuff, drifting works well.

Here is one from the UK, which has a bit different format:

Hmm. I wonder how big a course layout they are looking at? Speeds? Certainly looks like the course would favor a drifting style.

It is hard to tell for sure what style the course would prefer, except for the pivots. If the slalom is spaced decently, it should be a good bit faster going for grip.

It would be interesting to see a top autocrosser, a top drifter, and a top gymkhana driver do the same course, and compare who was faster in different sections/different lines.

Seems the best is to mix it up a bit. These events are going to be awesome. I plan on making it out. It will be a blast. If you don't want to drive, come out and show some support for all of those that are driving and for DG Trials.
