Depends exactly on what you are wanting. You can do anything from a simple spring install to lower you a bit, often times stiffen the car, and improve corning ability. Place this with some upgraded swaybars and you have a very drivable but well handling machine. Or you can go all out with new struts(or coilovers) and various other pieces.

sway bars first is probably your best bet...that is probably the easiest and doesn't effect ride quality to much.

I've always upgraded suspension/lowered my past rides for improved handling but the Suby is a damn good handling car outa the box.

I got sway bars and good tires and am completely satisfied. Like the other fellas said i'd start there and then see how you like it.

If u lower the Suby how you gonna go off road...rally anyone... feeling frisky

to get the 07 sti set up properly (for anything with turns) you're going to need to get:
06 sti control arms, the 07's caster was reduced and thus making it a total bitch to rotate even with...
    sway bars (front and rear)

then it's just a matter of how far you want to go from there, but i would at least get the roll and basic geometry of the car right first.

my dream setup is the above, plus:
KW v3 coilover suspension - dialed in for roadcourse
PDE camber plates (or something with "notch" settings)
    M1 subframe brace

matt's (slowwrx) car was setup this way and it's turn-compliance was hard-on inspiring.
