    Hi guys,

I know your cars generally don't have these plagued head gasket issues but I'm considering a 98' Leg wagon that would need to get the head gaskets replaced and depending on cost, I may just get the timing belt replaced (not sure if seller did).

But my question is who would you recommend for this kinda job that won't burn my pocket? I've seen mixed reviews on dealers, which I'm not sure I would go that route unless there's someone you guys trust as well.

I will consider other 3rd party shops, of course.

    Oh yeah... I'm in Cobb.

Thanks in advance for your help. :)

it requires removing the motor, just in case you didnt know that already. so not as straightforward as a honda, or any other traditionally motored vehicle. so expect prices to be higher.

There's 4 or 5 shops that can definitely handle this for you. I would call around and see who gives the best pricing/timing. In NO particular order:

    1. Killshot Performance
    2. All Pro
    3. Forged
    4. TopSpeed
    5. Six Star
    6. bATLground

All their respective phone numbers are in the Vendor Sub Forum

I'd have the heads refreshed while out. the exhaust valves and seals almost always need some attention.

Mine needed to be replaced and the dealership quoted me $2000 just to "look at it". I laughed and had the car towed home where i did it myself (Mike helped too) for $900 which included a full tune up, timing belt, water pump, tensioner and decked heads. It wasn't that hard. :D
