So my brother calls me and he has a 2004 Ford F150 Lariat. This past weekend he did he did some maintanence on it, spark plugs, alternator, and brakes nothing out of the ordinary. He siads now when he is stopped and the engine is running he can smell gas in the cab.

    All plugs are sparking
    The power feels good
    No rough idling

    Nothing abnormal

    Any ideas?

Seriously, ford's have SERIOUS problem with cracking fuel and vacuum hoses. Check leaky/cracked hoses.

You were right, it ended up being a cracked vacuum line that comes off the throtle body.
