If you had a lift I could have your clutch out and back in in 3 hrs.

I can come and help but i don't have a lot of mechanical experience. I've seen a walkthrough in superstreet magazine, i believe, on how to change a wrx clutch, and you need some special tools. Let me know if you want me to come.

You don't need no special tools. All you need is a bolt of a certain size (dunno but it's in my tool bag) and a 10, 12, 14, 17mm socket set and wrenches. Oh and some muscle power ;)

I don't have a lot of experience with Suby, I just got mine not too long ago. Since i'm not too far off, if time permits, i'd help.

Thats weird that you clutch is slipping in fifth, what about any other gears? I would expect it to happen in lower gears where the rotation of the flywheel is faster when you are about to engage.

actually, i'd expect it slip at higher gears... primarily because when u get on the gas, the flywheel wants to accelerate just as fast but at higher gears the clutch is fighting the flywheel with a much heavier load

^^ I can see that, I was thinking about it from the standpoint of when you are shifting from 4th to 5th its always a lot smoother than in the lower gears.
