Hey all, just got my Ecutek done a few weeks ago, & now I'm playing w/ the gage pod. I've noticed that the oil temperature always reads 1C, and the exhaust temperature always reads 690C. I assume that's bc I'm missing both sensors. My question is: how would I add them so that the Ecutek pod can read it. Anyone got any experience? I know I can buy additional gages for these, but I went w/ the Ecutek pod b/c I don't want extra gages.....

    -Thanks
    -Chris!

do u have a 2.2kohm resister in your egt socket. If so take it out and plug your egt probe back in if you want. It will probly just make you throw a code.

You mean the sensor in my uppipe? Yeah, that's long gone. I thought EGT was supposed to be measured much further down by the cats, like where the O2 sensor is in the downpipe? Wouldn't be the 1st time I've been wrong though. =) LOL, no idea that was a temp sensor I removed. hehehe, I'm such a noob sometimes. =P

K, so that would be an 'easy' fix, just find another uppipe that still has the hole for that sensor & reinstall. Course, then I'd be back to throwing a cell... wonder if it'd be worth the effort to relocate it further down the pipe so that it reads a more 'normal' temperature....

Okay, so how about the oil temperature then?
