    Hey Everyone,

I have seen this question brought up a couple of times, but nothing quite like this. I have a 2009 WRX, and all of a sudden out of no where today, my Hill Start Assist light came on. That is the only like that came on. I plugged in my accessport and it is not throwing any codes.

The hill assist definitely doesn't work, but other than that the car operates normally.

I recently upgraded my rotors, pads, brake lines, and fluid. (about a week ago)

    Any help would be great!

    Thank you

try disconnecting the battery. There's a sensor in the brakes for the hill hold that may not be functioning properly after you fixed/upgraded the brakes.

Also, there's a fuse for the hill hold. If the fuse blows, the light will turn on. Look for that fuse and replace if blown.

I disconnected the batter with no change. Do you know where this sensor is and how I would be able to tell if it got messed up?

In regards to the fuse, I have looked in the fuse box in the engine bay, I just did a quick look, but didn't see any obviously blown fuses, I imagine there is probably another fuse box somewhere inside the car, but I haven't been able to locate it. Do you have any idea where the fuse is?

    thank you very much

There's another fuse box in the passenger compartment, behind the dash. There's a cover over it...in the older subaru's it was a coin tray.

As for where the module is, I have no idea. Maybe one of the techs on here (outbacksprt) can chime in.

This image shows where it is
