I've worked out a deal with some friends at a local race shop, so I'll pretty much have an endless supply of these. There are also some Michelin slicks that fit 18s. Those will be a bit more though

The Hoosiers are the DOT version. Basically slicks but with two grooved rings around them.
    The Michelins are slicks however

Most of the Porsche GT3 cup cars run 18s, but I may have a lead on some Grand Am BMW 17s.

Hang on, let me find a good picture for you...

EDIT: ok, look at original post. Thery're basically slicks, but I believe that the two grooves keep you in a different class than the true slicks.

I'll definately have a stock pile of 18s, the 17s will be hard to come by since the Grand Am cars are for next season

Wow, that would be tons of fun in the dry...not so much in the wet for a daily driver! I have 18's, but still thinking about going back to 17's. If it were for a weekend driver or a track car this would be a perfect deal!

I don't need any now, but I'd go for some of the 17s down the road if they're still available. Do you think your supply will last for a while?

I would be interested in some 245/45R17 R6 Hoosiers if you get any more of them. We have a track day coming up in november at Roebling that it would be nice to have tires for.

What is the relative size for the 240/640/18? If it was sized normally what would it come out to?

The 245/45/R17 will be popular (I'll take some!). It might be time to find something bigger to put those 275/40/R17's on.

All tires are used, but have about 50 laps LEFT to go on the tires. Keep in mind that the track is 2.25 miles and fairly fast so...

Im interested in the 18 slicks but i need to know what the width and sidewall numbers mean. Is the 240/640 like a 285/50/18 in normal tire talk? lol

I guess i need a good guestimate to what size the 18" tires are in normal tire talk.
