Hybrid questions...

    im soon, like monday, going to be dropping the dough to do the hybrid swap...2.5 block with 2.0 heads and all that good stuff... im going to a 18g turbo along with injectors fuel and oil pump upgrades with a full tune.... my questions are 1) can anyone with this swap tell me if they have had any problems or issues (2 what kind of power range am i looking at (3 Any other things i should look into upgrading..... all and any info will be helpful

    I would throw some STI cams in those heads and have them ported/polished just reworked.
    Other than that just the standard swap over all new gaskets/seals.

    whats the reasoning for the cams.... would i be ok without them, whats the advantages/ disadvantages?

    would sti cams be good or a good set of aftermarkets.... and whats price wise on something like that

    I think the version 5 STi cams are what you want...Right Mike?

    Version 6 is what Mike has.

    so v6 cams... i dont need to port heads or anything for that cause someone said i did but i dont see why.... any idea of a price on the cams?

    I thought Kent said they were Version 5.

    On a side note are the 06 WRX cams the same as the STi cams?

    they aren't AVCS. so i would think no...? could be wrong?!

    the 06 wrx does have avcs aswell as tgv's, but i'm not sure on the actual difference in cam profiles

    that i'm not sure about, i'd imagine similar to the legacy's motor. both ej255's i think.

    I'd definitely go ahead and send off the heads to get them worked on if you have them off anyway. Cams are a good idea. My friend jason has this exact swap. sti 2.5l with WRX heads and an FP TD06-18g. profile link.

    No no...they are Version 6. I *SPECIFICALLY* remember this.

    All EJ257/255 cams are the same, 2004~2007.
