is my hood scoop

    yes, but you CAN take the backing plate off the scoop...that way you can get some fresh air in the motor.

    That's what I did!

    given the amount of smoke coming off of my engine right now, this could be a good idea.

    [note: it's only smoking because some grease got spilled on it while the rack n' pinion were getting changed.]
